In the center of the Ligurian Riviera, Varazze is one of the most famous tourist resorts in the region, nestled between the mountains and the sea.
Since the XNUMXs it has also become a destination for surfing, outdoor and extreme sports enthusiasts.
The natural reef immediately west of the mouth of the Teiro stream, and the artificial ones in the eastern part, are the object of real pilgrimages by surfers from all over Europe.
The sea obviously reigns supreme, with the varied beaches that extend to the coves of the Lungomare Europa, a promenade that connects to the nearby town of Cogoleto, obtained from the old railway track adorned with the typical vegetation of the Mediterranean scrub.

But Varazze is also history, with its centenary churches among which the bell tower of the Church of Sant'Ambrogio stands out, the old medieval walls or the Neolithic settlements of Alpicella.
