Between sun, sea and mountains
The pleasure of a holiday in Varazze.
Long walks and varied beaches and coves spread over 7 km and a predominantly mild climate throughout the year.
The presence of natural and artificial reefs among the most popular in Europe for surfing.
A historic center rich in traditions and shops and, behind it, the marvel of the hinterland, with the Beigua GeoPark and the possibility of hiking and outdoor sports activities (such as Mountain Bike, Downhill, Paragliding…).
And again the Marina di Varazze, with its boats, clubs, sporting activities and events that often characterize the summer.
Welcome to Varazze
In the center of the Ligurian Riviera, Varazze is one of the most famous tourist resorts in the region, nestled between the mountains and the sea.
Since the XNUMXs it has also become a destination for surfing, outdoor and extreme sports enthusiasts.
The natural reef immediately west of the mouth of the Teiro stream, and the artificial ones in the eastern part, are the object of real pilgrimages by surfers from all over Europe.
The sea obviously reigns supreme, with the varied beaches that extend to the coves of the Lungomare Europa, a promenade that connects to the nearby town of Cogoleto, obtained from the old railway track adorned with the typical vegetation of the Mediterranean scrub.
Moving to the heights, we therefore find the Beigua GeoPark, a protected nature reserve that hides paths optimized by associations of volunteers for the practice of sports such as Mountain Bike or Downhill, as well as trekking or snowshoeing during the winter.
But Varazze is also history, with its centenary churches among which the bell tower of the Church of Sant'Ambrogio stands out, the old medieval walls or the Neolithic settlements of Alpicella.
Finally, you cannot miss a walk near the renowned tourist port “Marina di Varazze”, among shops, bars and restaurants.
