Behind Varazze lies the Natural Park of Beigua: a wide area among the urban centers of Genoa, Savona and Alessandria, rich in history, scenery, culture and environmental education, with 18,000 hectares of forests, meadows, trickling streams and Alpine peaks.
On its "green rocks" (Magnesium) grows the fragrant Daphne, symbol of the Park (18 thousand hectares with over 500 km of trails), but also the carnivorous Sundew. And woods of chestnut, oak and beech, oak, where live wild boars, foxes, pheasants, hares and owls and hawks. In the village of Alpicella there also a Prehistoric Museum. From the coast to Piani d'Invrea towards Cogoleto, there is the beautiful seafront Europa promenade among fragrant plants and Mediterranean vegetation: walkway with benches, games and bike path. At the opposite towards Celle Ligure, is possible to pass over the cliff overlooking the Marina. The undisputed king is naturally the gull.
For fans of cycling and mountain biking, from Varazze is possible have wonderful excursions on two wheels along the road of the Giovo and reach Casanova, the fountain of Faje, up to Beigua and the Sanctuary of La Pace.
